TULSA NATIVES AND LOS ANGELES ACTORS DEBUT FANTASY ADVENTURE NOVEL
TULSA, OKLAHOMA— Joshua Branson Barker, Mindy Barker, and Jared Barker will debut their fiction fantasy adventure novel, The Lost Pages of Cinderella: 24-Hour Assassination Operation, with a book launch party on February 28, 2014 at Tulsa Spotlight Theatre. The event will include book signing, book reading, and door prizes as well as family entertainment featuring the authors and Tulsa actors. The authors will return to their roots as they take the stage in Spotlight Theatre’s old-fashioned melodrama, The Drunkard. Spotlight Theatre is a special place for the authors, as it is where they made their debuts as actors, directors, and playwrights. It is also where Joshua and Mindy met, fell in love, and married. The book is dedicated to the cast of the Encore! Theatre Arts production, The Lost Pages of Cinderella, which was written by Joshua Branson Barker and Mindy Barker and opened at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center on February 29, 2012. The cast included adults and children from the Tulsa theatre community. The sold-out production received rave reviews, and jumpstarted the Lost Pages series.
Joshua Branson Barker and Mindy Barker are Tulsa natives and currently reside in Los Angeles, where they work in the entertainment industry as actors, directors, and writers. Active in the L.A. theatre community, they have also worked on such films as August: Osage County and Jersey Boys, as well as such television series as Pretty Little Liars, Mad Men, Baby Daddy, Hit the Floor, NCIS, and Criminal Minds. Jared Barker currently resides in his hometown of Tulsa, where he is active in the Tulsa theatre community and is an avid historian and genealogist.
