The Lost Pages comes to the Tulsa stage

TULSA NATIVES AND LOS ANGELES ACTORS BRING FANTASY ADVENTURE NOVEL TO THE TULSA STAGE

TULSA, OKLAHOMA— Los Angeles actors, Joshua Branson Barker and Mindy Barker, return to their hometown to produce the stage version of their recently published book, The Lost Pages of Cinderella: 24-Hour Assassination Operation. Despite the name, the show is a hilarious and action-packed adventure that is fun for the whole family. The play is presented by Encore! Theatre Arts and Lost Pages Publishing, and is directed by Joshua Branson Barker. 
     The show runs May 2-4 at Tulsa Little Theatre, with performances on Friday at 7:30pm, Saturday at 2:00pm and 7:30pm, and Sunday at 2:00pm. Tulsa Little Theatre is located at 1511 S. Delaware Ave. Tickets are $16 and may be purchased online at www.LostPagesPublishing.com or at the door. Box office opens 30 minutes prior to each scheduled performance time.

ABOUT THE PLAY:  
     In pursuit of becoming the greatest villain of all time, Phantom has placed an ad in the local Charming Times offering his evil services for hire. His first customer knocks on his door one evening to request that Phantom assassinate her stepdaughter, Cinderella, before the clock strikes midnight. However, Phantom is not quite the brilliant mastermind he thinks he is, so many hilarious misadventures ensue as he is accompanied by his sidekicks, the beautiful Mischief and the gentle giant Mayhem. In their epic adventures, the villainous trio encounters familiar fairy tale characters, including Puss in Boots, Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, and Jack and the Beanstalk. Phantom is the missing link that connects your favorite fairy tales, and this is the true story of the pages that were lost. Audiences of all ages will enjoy this hilarious and exciting show full of laughs, sword fights, chases, and more.

ABOUT THE PRODUCERS: 
     Joshua Branson Barker and Mindy Barker founded Encore! Theatre Arts in 2009 and have directed 19 plays with the company, including Alice in Wonderland, A Christmas Story, The Wizard of Oz, and The Jungle Book. They have also participated in the Tulsa PAC’s SummerStage Festival, with such productions as Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. 
     Joshua and Mindy are Tulsa natives and currently reside in Los Angeles, where they work in the entertainment industry as actors, directors, and writers. Active in the L.A. theatre community, they have also worked on such films as August: Osage County and Jersey Boys, as well as such television series as Pretty Little Liars, Mad Men, Baby Daddy, Hit the Floor, NCIS, and Criminal Minds.

TULSA NATIVES AND LOS ANGELES ACTORS DEBUT FANTASY ADVENTURE NOVEL


TULSA, OKLAHOMA— Joshua Branson Barker, Mindy Barker, and Jared Barker will debut their fiction fantasy adventure novel, The Lost Pages of Cinderella: 24-Hour Assassination Operation, with a book launch party on February 28, 2014 at Tulsa Spotlight Theatre. The event will include book signing, book reading, and door prizes as well as family entertainment featuring the authors and Tulsa actors. The authors will return to their roots as they take the stage in Spotlight Theatre’s old-fashioned melodrama, The Drunkard. Spotlight Theatre is a special place for the authors, as it is where they made their debuts as actors, directors, and playwrights. It is also where Joshua and Mindy met, fell in love, and married. The book is dedicated to the cast of the Encore! Theatre Arts production, The Lost Pages of Cinderella, which was written by Joshua Branson Barker and Mindy Barker and opened at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center on February 29, 2012. The cast included adults and children from the Tulsa theatre community. The sold-out production received rave reviews, and jumpstarted the Lost Pages series.


Joshua Branson Barker and Mindy Barker are Tulsa natives and currently reside in Los Angeles, where they work in the entertainment industry as actors, directors, and writers. Active in the L.A. theatre community, they have also worked on such films as August: Osage County and Jersey Boys, as well as such television series as Pretty Little Liars, Mad Men, Baby Daddy, Hit the Floor, NCIS, and Criminal Minds. Jared Barker currently resides in his hometown of Tulsa, where he is active in the Tulsa theatre community and is an avid historian and genealogist.
